In some ways I apologize to those who follow my blog closely, I have gotten the odd email here and there checking in on me, eager to find out what am I up to. I have taken time to really think about who I am and what I am doing. I have looked long and hard what what I believe. When it comes to car stuff. Mitsubishi has been a good part of my life for the past 3 years. I have met countless people in person at local meets, and have been fortunate enough to interact with thousands online in forms and other points of contact. And in some ways its been my fuel for everything I do hear. When I got the Toronto Lancer Club off the ground it kept me hard wired into what Mitsubishi owners are all about and what they think. The Happiness, The Frustrations, and everything in the middle.

Some people have gravitated closer to the brand while others have drifted away. Lets face it, its has been a very challenging past 3 years for Mitsubishi, You, Me and everyone else in the world. Economy is upside down and it seems that everything is all F’d up. But its when you on the bottom, down and out, that you can stop everything, and figure out what it is you need to do, to get back in the game. To be completely frank with everyone, I have watched Mitsubishi thru the years make decisions that were either incorrect or not executed well. Everyone company makes decisions, some are good some are bad, but given the way the entire industry suffered over the past few years. Its just created the perfect storm. Mitsubishi in a ultra critical moment in its history. And the next few plays will determine Mitsubishi’s final course over the next few years as the current Mitsubishi Lancer product cycle ends and begins a new with next generation technology and partnerships.

I have been fortunate enough to have friends with the Mitsubishi Group in Japan and the United States to keep me in the know of what is going on. I have also been blessed to have other friends thru out the Aftermarket industry who believe as I do that Mitsubishi makes one of the best cars in the world. But what fills me with so much excitement and energy is that both sides believe they can make a difference. And while people dont really know whats going on, I think I can report to you here and now, that the catalyst for change begins next month July 10th, at the Mitsubishi Owners Day at Head office.
I have sitting on this blog post for about a month now because even I have been soul searching. Thinking about everything I have done and everyone I want to accomplish. Like everyone, at one point or another in your life, you have to dig deep give it all that you got. And if I didnt have Mitsubishi friends like Rick Chong (Singapore) and John P. (Rally Innovations) to look up to. I am not sure if I could have pressed as far as I have. I know they have sacrificed alot to get where they are, and they continue to push on no matter the challenges. All this has humbled me. Deeply. And always renewed and reinforced my faith for everything Mitsubishi. Nothing comes easy. The name Mitsubishi doesnt every mean easy. Its hard work, sweat, pain, and in some situations, it can flat out chew you up. But the end result….. well…. you see it every day. When you walk out the door. You own a Mitsubishi. Whether its a daily driver lancer, or that Mitsubishi EVO X you voided the warranty with mods. One thing is for sure, you love it.

Myself, Rick Chong, and John will be coming together and meeting each other for the first time in California to start something. With the way things have unfolded it almost seems as if its fate working its magic. But we each have something to contribute to Mitsubishi and if we are fortunate enough. Mitsubishi themselves may acknowledge it.
What does Mitsubishi to me, summed up in one word?
Potential -Mitsubishi never disappoints when it comes to achieve new levels of technology and innovation. Everything Mitsubishi needs is already here. With the right attitude and game plan, anything is possible. :) and thats my word of the day
Own to some other stuff.
